India Gate, official name Delhi Memorial, at first called All-India War Memorial, awesome sandstone arch in New Delhi, committed to the troops of British India who died in war between 1914 and 1919. India Gate, which is located at the eastern emd of the Rajput (properly called the King-way), is about 138 feet (42 meters) in height.
India Gate is one of many British great built by order of the Royal war serious Commission (later renamed Common wealth war serious Commission). The creator was Sir Edwin Lutynes, an Englishman who project many other war memorial and also the principal planner of New Delhi. The foundation was laid in 1921 by the duke of connaught. third son of Queen Victoria. plan of the All-India war Memorial, as it was basically known, continued until 1931, the year of the formal dedication og New Delhi as the capital o India.
Lutyens declined to combine pointed dome or other Asian style in his design but attempt in appearance to the structure Triomphe in Paris. On the ceiling above the structure is a deep and wide shallow domed bowl that was international to be filled with flaming oil on ceremonial occasion. No fires have been set on the ceiling in current years, but four permanent flames are now private at the base of the structure. The flames limit the Amar Jawan Jyoti, a small monument that has served as india's tomb of the unknown soldier since 1971.

Red Fort, also known as Lal kilah, also called Lal Qal'ah or Lal Qila, Mughal fort in Old Delhi, India. It was created by Shah Jahan in the mid-17th century and remains a first tourist attraction. The fort was designated a UNESCO world culture site in 2007.
The Fort's big red sandstone walls, which stand 75 feet (21 meters) high, house a complex of places and entertainment halls, projecting balconies, baths and indoor canals, and geometrical gardens. as well as an bizarre mousque. Among the famous structures of the complex are the Hall of public audience (Diwan-i-Am), which has 60 red sandstone pillars supporting a flate roof and the Hall of private audience (Diwan-I-Khas), which is smaller and has a casino of white marble.
An first Red Fort had been built in Old Delhi in the 11th century by the Tomara king Anangapala. The Qutb Mosque now stand on the site.

Lotus Temple, Baha'i Faith house of worship, or mashriq al-adhkar [Arabic: 'place where the voice of the name of God stand up at dawn'] in New Delhi. In the early 21st century it was one of only nine mashriq in the world.
The Lotus Temple was consecrated and released to the public in December 1986. It was designed by iranian builder Fariborz Sahba, who won approve for the project even before the Temple was completed. It after received several awards.
The Lotus Temple receive it's name from it's design. Like every other Baha I Mashriq, it is describe by a nine-sided the process, in keeping with the Baha I credit in the mystical character of the number nine. Set on elevated plinth in a 26-acre (10.5-square hectometre) distance of outlook garden and between by nine pools framed by red sandstone walkways, the white marble tower rises to a height of more than 130 feet (40 metres). The Temple complex compose 27 independent marble "petals" which are 'mapping' into groups of three to form nine sides (through which opn nine access into a central space) and into groups of nine to form three centered rings. Petals in the first ring face outside, forming covering over the nine access.
The second ring covers the outer hall. in the central ring, the petals curve inner to not complete the central prayer hall, which take in about 2,300 people. The top os structure appears open but in effect contains a glass-and-steel roof that declare natural daylight. The overall effect is that os a free lotus flower on the verge of open up and centre by it's leaves.
